2019 Season

In 2019, Frost Town Archaeology saw its first full season of excavation. This also included a complete overhaul of the documentation and excavation systems in place at the site from 2012-2018. The season focused on what has been labelled the Hall Residence, a foundation of a house located just south of the abandoned cemetery on Frost Hill Road.

2019-2020 Lab Work

During the academic year 2019-2020, Emily Russell (’22) and Emily Yahn (’22) both carried out two independent studies in the Anthropology Lab back at Brockport to complete the analysis and documentation of the finds from the 2019 season. From this work, the pair was able to present an academic poster at the Rochester Academy of Science Annual Student Paper Session at Monroe Community College in November of 2019.
